Sports Club Sites

If your Foundry site is for a sports club, it has some extra tabs for managing your club, teams, and fixtures on top of the usual Foundry features. This page covers what's unique to a sports club site. Everything else in this guide - Identity, Pages, Blog, SEO, Media Library, and Search - applies exactly as described elsewhere.

What's Different on a Sports Club Site

  • A Club tab replaces the usual homepage-sections setup, alongside Sponsors, Staff, Teams, Competitions, and Opponents tabs.
  • There's no Settings tab for turning homepage sections on or off - the sections available to a sports club site are a fixed set.
  • The Identity tab doesn't include Brand Colours - your club's colours are set on the Club tab instead (see below). Logo & Favicon and Typography still work as described in the rest of this guide.
  • Contact & Social works the same as on a business site, except the contact form doesn't have a Display mode choice - its placement is fixed.
  • Blog Posts and Navigation are still available, the same as on a business site.

The Club Tab

Click Club in the left menu to set up your club's core details:

  • Club Details - your sport, the year the club was founded, and a short description.
  • Badge & Colours - upload your club badge, and set a primary and secondary colour.
  • Home Kit and Away Kit - upload an image of each kit, or leave it blank to have one generated automatically from a pattern and your club colours.
  • Venue - your club's home venue (name, address, map link). Individual teams can set their own venue if they play elsewhere; leave a team's venue blank to fall back to this one.

Sponsors, Staff, Teams, Competitions, and Opponents

These are managed from their own tabs, alongside Club:

TabWhat it's for
SponsorsYour club's sponsors - name, website link, and logo.
StaffClub-level staff such as Chairman, Secretary, or Physio - name, role, and photo. Drag to reorder.
TeamsYour club's teams - name, gender, and age group (e.g. "Senior", "Under 16").
CompetitionsLeagues or cups your teams enter - name and type.
OpponentsOther clubs you play against - name and logo, reused across fixtures.

Managing an Individual Team

Click a team in the Teams tab to open its own dedicated editor, where you can manage that team's:

  • Players
  • Staff (coaches, managers, etc. specific to that team)
  • Training Sessions
  • Seasons
  • Games (fixtures and results)
  • Competition Entries - which competitions that team is entered into

Competitions work the same way - click into one from the Competitions tab to manage its own detail.

Homepage Sections

A sports club site's content sections are Sponsors, Staff, Teams, Competitions, Opponents, FAQs, and Gallery - a fixed set, rather than the togglable homepage sections a business site has. There's no Settings tab to turn these on or off.

FAQs and Gallery work exactly as described in Pages and Content.

Contact & Social on a Sports Club Site

This works the same as described in Common Tasks - contact details, address, business hours, location, and social profiles are all available. The only difference is there's no Display mode choice for the contact form itself; its placement on your site is fixed rather than configurable.
